The continued efforts of the SCA (Qld) board have set 2022 up to be a watershed year for legislative change in the strata sector. Positive reform is on the horizon and this is a testament to the hard work of so many people.
The Community Titles Legislation Working Group is ongoing, whilst the Northern Australia Reinsurance Pool is scheduled to start July 1. These outcomes would not be possible without the collective strength of all our members and their tireless effort in advancing our sector.
The issue of building defects is a concern plaguing our sector that has been at the top of the governments mind throughout the year too. SCA (Qld) will continue to be diligent and thorough in making every post a winner when it comes to advocacy, and not missing any opportunities to make noise to the government.
